“Ascension of The Lord” Monastery of Muntele Rece is located in Maguri-Racatau commune, honoring the memory of those who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of Transylvania in the autumn of 1944.

After the ‘90 was built the monastery “Ascension of the Lord”, this celebration of the Orthodox confession is the day in which traditionally the Romanian people celebrate its fallen heroes on the battlefields. The church is wooden and was built on a small plateau at an altitude of 940 meters.
