Remembering Park Satu Mare

A memorial of the fallen soldiers of Máréfalva (Satu Mare) from both World Wars was consecrated in 1997 in the park near the community center. On the cross was carved the date of the mille centenary jubilee of the Hungarian conquest (896-1996). On the marble table was carved the names of the fallen soldiers. Near the park fence 11 blue spruces were planted. In 2000 a Sekler gate was placed, the first piece of a future outdoor gate-museum. In the back of the park stands a traditional style renovated house, the Rosette-House.
