”Emil Racovita” Speleology Museum includes many exhibits which are very valuable, such as: “Zeiss” microscope and “Lihnof” camera used by Emil Racovita in the Belgian Arctic expedition, original drawings with which he illustrated his scientific works and personal office objects.

The Romanian scientist founded in Cluj-Napoca the first Speleology institute in the world in 1920, which had the purpose to research the underground area. The real estate which housed “Emil Racovita” Speleology Museum is considered historical monument, being built in the 14th century.
