The orthodox church from Iosefin

The church is located on the Alexandru Mocioni Square,  which  was formerly known as the Küttel Square. It was built according to the plans of the architect Victor Vlad, who was a teacher at the Polytechnic School of Timişoara, in a neo-byzantine style,   inspired by the model of the Hagia Sophia church of Istambul, especially the abutments, the form of the cupola and the separated steeple. In the churchyard, arranged like a small park, there are the busts of the three founders of the church: Victor Vlad, Professor Ioan Imbroane and Av. Emanuil Ungurianu, realized by the sculptor Aurel Gheorghe Ardeleanu. The busts were unveiled on 8 September 2007 with  the occasion of the celebration of the parish fair.
