The Administrative Palace was built in 1910 in secession style. It was initially built as head office for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry from Cluj. In the period following the Second World War it functioned as city hall, county head office of the Romanian Communist Party, head office for Cluj County Council and in the present it is the head office of Cluj County Prefecture.
