It is located in the North-western part of Cluj county, out of Leghia village to Aghiresu and covers an area of 1 ha.

Within the reservation "Gipsurile de la Leghia" is located a former mining area, we can admire the natural deposits of alabaster, a variety of gypsum. Around Leghia locality, especially on the hills from the right part of Leghia beck, the gypsum deposits reach a thickness of 30 meters.
