Forest Reserve Goşman-Tarcău Tarcau

The Forest Reservation Goşman, The Faunistic Reservation Brateş, The Waterfall and The Keys of Bolovaniş can be real targets for a weekend trip.

On the left side of Goşomanu river, where it meets Tarcău river, a little farther up from Ardeluţa village, on the mountainside, at a height of 700 metres to 1300 metres, with incinations of 45%, there is the Forest Reservation Goşman.

It is a secular forest, a real dense forest, of over 170 hectares, where the predominant is the common spruce, the beech tree and the fir tree, patterns over one or two hundred years, some of up to one meter and half in diameter and of over 50 metres height.

Among these we can also find elm trees, service trees, yew trees and sycamore trees.

Here is the country of lynxes, as they are the among most numerous present carnivores of the virgin tree ( bears, wolves, otters).

Among the plants, apart ferom the lovely plants like the Cmpanula(the Bellflower) blue as the sky, the Common Beech, the Blue Jewel Hepatica, the rare Edelweiss, and also the Weat Quail.

The reservation has as scientific, peisagistic and social-educative value. 

Apart from the grouses, that are the most numerous in number, we can also admire in the reservation rare species of birds but also important species of mountain flora specific to the area.
