Sóskút Bath
Features: salty springs and springs with
sulphur water, free bath.
Usage: for drinking and bath
treatments.
Conditions of
treatment: the
bath built in 2004 (on the property of Matyas Gergely) makes a well organized, rustic and clean
impression. Its springs and the cold water pool made of wood can be used for
free.
Possibilities of
accommodation and eating: the free bath does not have any accommodation units, but the area
is excellent for camping.
Attractions: the monument from Nyerges tető which was built in
the memory of those who fought and fell in the battles from 18481849.
The Roman Catholic church
(Kászonújfalu) the present church was built in
1792, but its stone tower was built earlier in 1768. The first church of the
village was a little chapel built in the honour of Saint Michael.
Others: in the Kászon
basin there are a large number of springs. The waters of these springs have
different compositions containing alkalis, carbonate, sodium chlorite,
magnesium, ion and iron.
