Freedom Monument Cernat

The Freedom Monument was inaugurated on 27 June 1943 in the centre of Alsócsernáton (Cernatul de Jos). A memorial plaque, commemoriating the heroes of the First World War, was placed on this monument, later in 1993 this plaque was completed with two other memorial plaques, one of these being the list of the heroes, fighting in the war of independence of 1848-49 and the other one containing the names of the heroes of the II. World War.
