Presentation - Surduc Defile Valea Ierii

Surduc Defile is located in the last sector of the Ierii Valley, Iara commune and territory stretching from Surduc until the bloodshed in Aries river area which has been declared a protected area of county interest.

The defile has the form of a narrow valley, with rocky hillsides, with high walls, and during it we meet both forests and rocky steeps. Because of the rocks hardness, the river forms outstanding meanders. The defile is crossed by a road with tight turns.
